Betty Dengel Krohn's Obituary
Betty Dengel Krohn passed peacefully into her eternal home on April 14, 2021 at the age of 93.
She was born the youngest of five children on a farm near Rockland, Wisconsin to Arthur and Luella (Hertlizka) Dengel. During college she met her lifelong love, Kenneth R. Krohn, to whom she was married for 63 years. Throughout their lives they were active church members. Betty dedicated her life to serving others. She expressed her faith in Christ by sharing her God-given gifts of kindness and compassion through service as a hospice volunteer, Stephen minister, and Church Health Center volunteer.
She is survived by two children: Barbara Krohn Haj-Hassan (Ali) and Peggy Krohn; four grandchildren: Leila Haj-Hassan Ghezawi (Ali), Zeid Haj-Hassan (Mabrookah), Tanya Haj-Hassan, and Sara Haj-Hassan; seven great-grandchildren: Suleiman, Zaid, and Awn Ghezawi, and Ali, Omar, Kareem, and Ayah Haj-Hassan and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1 from 1:00 p.m. until the service of victory at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Ave, Memphis Tennessee. Within keeping of Covid-19 guidelines we respectfully ask that people wear masks and socially distance.
