Betty Sue Kimery's Obituary
BETTY S. KIMERY, 84, died January 11, 2022 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1937 in Middlebrook, AR. to Addie Mae Williams (Hambrick) and Henry Lawrence Williams. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Louis C. Kimery; and brothers Henry, Albert, Robert, Eugene, Wilbur and Rector. She was also preceded in death by sisters Anna Williams, Geraldine Grissom, Mary Johnston, Lucille Phillips, Pauline Graham, and Irene Huey. She is survived by one son, Louis K. Kimery. Betty moved to Memphis upon graduating from high school in 1955, where she worked for Sears Roebuck & Company. She was married to Louis C. Kimery in Yuma AZ while en route to Los Angeles CA where they lived for 13 years. She returned to Memphis in 1971 and worked as a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement. She traveled the United States extensively with her family and visited Europe with her husband. She loved animals of all types, and they loved her in return. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a future date (TBD) in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
