Betty Jo Rue's Obituary
Betty Jo Hall Rue, 82, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. She was a member of Germantown Presbyterian Church. She was a secretary of the admiral in the early 50’s at the Memphis Naval Air Station and retired as Vice President of the Planters Bank of Osceola Arkansas. She was a past member of the Augusta Georgia Junior Woman’s Club, a lifetime member of the Junior Auxiliary of Osceola, Arkansas, a former chairman and active working member of the Mississippi County American Cancer Society, and active in her church circle work in Osceola, Arkansas and Tifton, Georgia. Mrs. Rue was preceded in death by her brother Donald Peyton Hall. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Welsh Rue, Jr., one daughter Cynthia Rue Chitwood, one brother Solomon Edward Hall, one sister, Gail Hall Alexander, two great grandchildren Reese and Deacon Chitwood.The family request memorials in lieu of flowers to be sent to the Germantown Presbyterian Church, Tifton Presbyterian Church, The American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
