Betty Jean Tabor's Obituary
Betty Jean Berryhill Summers Tabor, 80, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away August 20, 2015. She was born May 12, 1935 in Memphis, TN. She grew up in Hollywood and graduated from Tech High School in 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Dickson and James O. Berryhill, Sr. and brothers, James “Jim” O. Berryhill, Jr. and E. Gene Berryhill. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Ford (Mick) and Sherry Malone (Jackie); grandchildren, Christi Gertner (George) of White Plains, NY, Shane Ford (Kristin) of Germantown, TN, Lee Carver of Denton, TX, and Kristin Parrish (Derek) of Lewisville, TX; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. She retired from Kellogg’s after 32 years of exemplary service, then worked at Home Instead Senior Care for 13 years along with being a MaryKay Consultant to many women whom she loved to make beautiful. Betty never met a stranger and had a zeal for life, spreading love that came from her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She served and attended the Abundant Grace Ministries where she taught the Bible. She traveled the world and invites all to take one more trip and join her in Heaven (John 3:16). Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 25 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
