Betty Jean Hughes Moncrief's Obituary
Betty Jean Hughes Moncrief, 88, peacefully passed away December 20, 2016. She was born November 21, 1928. She was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, a longtime member of Oakhaven Baptist Church, and a member of Balmoral Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Grady Moncrief, who was a load agent with American Airlines; and their son, Gerald Wayne Moncrief. She was the last surviving child of Etta Mae Archer and John Lewis Hughes‘eight children. She is survived by her children, Trish Hopkins (Mickey), Paula Seaton (Jim), and Master Sergeant Daryle Moncrief (USAF Ret.) and two grandchildren, Zachary Moncrief and Austin Moncrief. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
