Betty Hall's Obituary
Betty Marie Purvis Hall On June 9, 2010, Marie “Ganny” Hall was reunited with her loving husband, Ivan B. Hall. Born in Lexa, Arkansas on March 13, 1929, Marie later moved to Memphis and graduated from Central High School. In 1946, she was introduced to a young soldier, just one day returned from Germany. Later that year, they married and spent the next 63 years loving each other and the family they reared. A devoted mother and wife, she filled her life with family and hobbies, enjoying bowling and golf in addition to being a talented artist. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Phyllis Ransome, Sandy Ransome (Randy), Doug Hall (Becky), and David Hall (Cindi); 8 granddaughters: Heather Swanson, Jennifer Cande (James), Kristen Daniel (Josh), Morgan Ellis (Michael), Michelle Hall, Kimberly Hall, Jessica Sanderford, and Bryanna Hall; 4 great-grandchildren: Nathan, Hunter, Ashley, and Amber; and her sister, Pat Hudson. Visitation will be Saturday, June 12 at 11:30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with service at 1:00pm and internment immediately following.
