Betty Ann Fain Colglazier's Obituary
Betty Ann Fain Colglazier, 90 years old, passed away peacefully Thursday February 18, 2021 at her home in Hernando MS. surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born in Kentucky to Leno and Velda Fain on July 30,1930. She was an only child and adored by all. Betty was a volunteer at Methodist Hospital for 20 years and supported her husband in the Lions and Shriners club. She was a loving mother and a precious grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived the majority of her life in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where her parents and husband's parents lived. Then in 1969 the family moved to Memphis, TN., then she and her husband bought a house in Hernando, MS and has lived there for the last 20 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Alice Jeanie Colglazier-Baker of Senatobia, MS: Eight grandchildren, Emily Childress (Daniel) of Oxford, Ms, Peter Baker of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Heath Baker(Beth) of Hernando, MS, Drew Sutton (Fowler) of Medina, TN, Sarah Sutton-Lichterman (Clay) of Franklin, TN, Audrey Sutton-Frazier(Jordan) of Brentwood, TN; Eleven great-grandchildren: Chase Potts, Mason Lichterman, Noah Leland Baker, Max Baker, Posey Baker, Everett Baker, Ann Miller Baker, Shala Frazier, Marcus Frazier.
She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert Dean Colglazier, son Robert Stephen Colglazier, daughter Holly Ann Sutton, grandsons, James Noah Baker and Robert Timothy Baker.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Avenue Baptist Church 2181 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN. 38104
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Leukemia and lymphoma foundation.
