Betty Bryant's Obituary
Betty Jane (Fitzpatrick) Bryant of Vero Beach, Florida, died of natural causes in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 23, 2015. She was born on March 10, 1925 in Pine Bluff Arkansas, grew up in Memphis, graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1943, and performed throughout the Memphis area and with USO with Beryl Olswanger and the Bluebelles. She resided in Memphis until 1962. Betty Jane was married to Nelson A. Bryant for 61 years, from 1945 until his death in 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Anne Bryant Barnhart of Arlington, Virginia, and Jan Nell Bryant of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and her grandson, Niles David Barnhart of Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Lillian and Herbert Fitzpatrick, and the sister of Joe Raymond Fitzpatrick of Memphis. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand- nephews all reside in Memphis. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. and funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 29 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
