Betty Hessick Brunthaver's Obituary
Betty Brunthaver, 88, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1934, on a farm in Green Springs, OH, to Helen and Mervin Hessick.
Betty lived a fulfilling life and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Betty’s life was centered on her family, and she always looked forward to family gatherings and travelling with them. She was a talented seamstress and homemaker and was known for her entertaining and wonderful cooking. In particular, she excelled at entertaining government officials and diplomats while living in Washington, D.C., with her late husband, Carroll, whom she was happily married to for 67 years.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan (Mike); son, Jeff (Patty); her four grandsons: Aaron (Heather), Ryan (Carrie), Kyle (Diana), and Tyler; and her five great grandchildren (Rowan, Camille, Ruby, Betsy, and Luca). She is also survived by her two sisters, Diane and Geri.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She deeply loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. She will be remembered for her love, support, and generosity.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am, with a private graveside service immediately following.
