Betty Giles Bratten's Obituary
BETTY RANSOM GILES BRATTEN, 90, passed away April 18, 2014. She was born on April 11, 1924 in Memphis. She was a member of Germantown Church of Christ. She is survived by three children, Kathy Hogan and her husband Dave of Montgomery, AL; Stuart Giles and his wife JoAnn of Stuarts Draft, VA and Kristyn Giles of Memphis, She also leaves two granddaughters, Stacy Hogan Massey of Durham, NC and Kimberly Hogan Smith of Abilene, TX. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Col. James A. Giles; her second husband, Capt. Toria Joel Bratten, Jr.; her parents, Lee and Ballard Ransom, and her sister, Sarah Greer. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 25 also at Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to the Germantown Church of Christ or AGAPE.
