Betty Ann Davis Eddings' Obituary
Betty Ann Davis Eddings, 66, of Horn Lake, MS died on December 22, 2015 after a sudden illness. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, but more importantly a Christian. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her greatest passions in life were family and the nurturing of others. Betty was born to the late DeRoy Eddings, Sr. and the late Jessie Lou Hunt on January 8, 1949 in Jackson, TN. She married John Dalton Davis on February 23, 1965 in Ellendale, TN and began to start their family. She is survived by her children, Lora Gilbert (Terry) of Olive Branch, MS, Jeffrey Davis (Diane) of Etowah, AR, Kimberly Phillips (Darren) of Holladay, TN, Diana Wilson (Gary) of Nesbit, MS, and Kelly Abbott (Richard) of Horn Lake, MS; grandchildren, Eric Gilbert, Lauren Gilbert, Brett Davis, Jason Pritchett, Kristy Parnell, Joshua Hickerson, Caitlind Roach, and Kirsten Abbott; and 11 great grandchildren who all will miss her dearly. She is also survived by many siblings, Mary Michael, Joyce Baulk, Billy Ray Mallard, DeRoy Eddings, Jr., Lila Hadley, Mark Eddings, Tammy Brooks, Patrick Eddings, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 30 and her funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
