Bettie S. Dunn's Obituary
BETTIE SUE JOHNSON DUNN, of Germantown, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Methodist Hospital Germantown. Bettie was born on March 27, 1932 on Easter Sunday in Amory, Mississippi. Bettie graduated from Humes High School in 1950. She was a Member of Second Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved gardening, bridge, tennis, reading, music, movies and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rodney Dunn, her father Herbert Johnson, mother Margaret Johnson, sister Margaret Wilmot and brother Charles Johnson. She is survived by her daughter Susan Rowan and husband Bob of Germantown, grandchildren, Barrett Rowan and Robert Rowan of Memphis and sister Jeanne Nowlin of Cordova. She also leaves behind nieces Leigh Ann Wilmot, Beth Wilmot, Linda Fanning, nephews Tim Wilmot and Robert Nowlin along with 15 nieces and nephews and the Rowan Family. Bettie lived her last few years at the Gardens of Germantown and was cared for by a very kind and loving staff. The Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2:30 Friday, April 5, 2013 with a short graveside service to follow. Family and friends are welcome at her daughter’s home for a gathering after the service for a celebration of her life.
