Bette Stamps Doran's Obituary
Bette Doran age 84 of Germantown, Tennessee went home to be with her precious Savior on Monday, April 3, 2023, after struggling with dementia for several years. She was the daughter of the late John D. Stamps and Frances Stamps Butterworth and stepdaughter to Vernon Butterworth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Doran and a stepsister, June Parks.
Bette was born on February 4, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University, then married the love of her life and moved to Memphis, Tennessee. Bette became a successful real estate agent for forty years and was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Sales Club. She was also a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi International since 1967, where she had many "Sisters", whom she loved very much. Bette adored dogs, especially Pugs, of which she had many over the years. Painting and gardening were her therapy.
Survivors include her son, Mark Doran; a daughter, Karen Lively and her husband, Dale; three grandchildren, Brandon Doran and his wife Heather, Blake Lively and his wife Halle and Brian Lively and his wife Kallen; and four great grandchildren, Hayden, Eli, Kinsley and Harper.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make donations to Memphis Humane Society or 2 Fish Foundation in Denham Springs, Louisiana
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
