Rita Heaney
I met Betsy and Jerry after we moved into our home in Kentucky. They had come down here at their summer home on Lake Barkley for a week's vacation. When we met, Betsy had a big smile on her face and we clicked right off. She loved to laugh and glowed with a warm happy presence. I spoke to Betsy a week or two before she died and I would never have guessed there was anything wrong. We talked and laughed as usual. Betsy was full of grace and I thank God for allowing her to feel calm and I know she was at peace with herself. I miss my dearest friend who captured my heart. When I would go out to my porch at night and look to their house and see a light on I was so happy and I would quietly call out hi Betsy hi Jerry and looked forward to seeing them the next day.
My deepest sympathies to you Jerry and family. Betsy and you all will always be in my prayers. Sincerely, Rita Heaney
