Bertha Blatt Huffman's Obituary
Bertha Blatt Huffman was born on March 19, 1910 in their home at the time on Summer Avenue and Berclair Street in Memphis. Her parents moved to a farm in Millington, TN where she attended Millington Central High School. After graduating, she attended business school and worked at the old Lowenstein’s Department Store in the office for 13 years, then for the Kroger Company in accounting until her retirement in 1971.After the death of her husband R.F. (Bill) Huffman in February, 1980, she became active in Trinity Lutheran Church, where she participated in many duties. Memorials are to be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church.She is survived by nephew: Morris Blatt (Beth) of Brownsville, TN; a great nephew: Greg Blatt (India) of Bartlett, TN; great great nieces; Sophie Blatt and Molly Blatt, a great great nephew, Will Blatt; a great niece: Amy Blatt Ita, (Edet) of Toms River N.J., and a great great niece, Elianna Ita; a great nephew: Glen Blatt (Renee) of Grand Junction, CO, and a great great nephew, Dale Blatt.The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, at the Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum.
