Bernise Dillingham age 89 passed away December 26, 2023. Bernise was born March 31, 1934 in Hornsby, TN.
She lived most of her life in Memphis where she started a retail store and was in business for over 50 years.
Bernise found comfort in reading her bible. She helped many people throughout her life in many ways. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing.
Mrs. Dillingham is survived her four sisters, Betty Mattingly of Ripley, MS, Frances Kocher of Zanesville, OH, Faye Williams of Memphis, TN, and Judy McCage of Somerville, TN, two brothers, Lloyd Hill and James Hill of Heber Springs, AR, one granddaughter: Elise Dillingham
She was preceded in death one son, James J. Dillingham, two brothers, Ogene Hill and Wilford Hill, three sisters, Elsie Rutherford, Alice Mosier and Rosalene Knipper and her parents Otis and Ophia Hill
A visitation will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery, 5484 Hacks Cross Rd., Memphis TN.
