Bernard Francis Mayer III's Obituary
Bernard Francis Mayer III, 78, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He retired as President of Mayer Construction and was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and would often volunteer for Youth Villages and many other groups in the Memphis area. He loved playing golf, and was passionate about animals, especially his Quarter Horse Whistle. He liked to visit Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Bernard Francis Mayer Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Patsy Mayer, daughters; Katie Clenney (Terry), and Krissie Soto (Shemo), grandchildren; Hudson Clenney, Ansel and Emmett Soto, his mother, Mrs. Lee Mayer, and brother, Mike Mayer (Barbara).
The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Saturday, February 28th, from 10:00 until 10:30 with a funeral mass to follow immediately. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
