Shirley Biggers
Sympathy from Charlie and Shirley Biggers to all of Frank’s sweet and loving family. The obituary captured so much of who Frank was. We should say “is” because he will live on in memory. The smile in the photograph is so typical of Frank; it’s his trademark. Once when we were visiting Guy Pitts, Frank and some of Guy’s other friends from the SS class were there, too, and we were privileged to hear how Frank and Martha met. It was a sweet love story. We were blessed to be included in Frank’s 90th birthday party, a surprise, I believe it was. That party was indicative of the way Ben and Amy took care of him his last years. And Ben was so faithful to take him to church and SS when Frank felt up to it. What a blessing that he could have his home with them after Martha died. Martha was in the Rebecca Bible Class, which I had the privilege of teaching (still do) at Second Baptist, so we had the privilege of knowing her in the class. Somehow we’d always known Frank since we joined the church in 1973; every member probably felt the same way. He thoughtfully gave Charlie some Bible commentaries when he retired from teaching the men’s class. He was a true Christian gentleman, and we’ll miss him greatly.
