I met Bemis probably 20 or so years ago. He was one of those guys you liked immediately and could have a conversation with. He was always designing interesting projects and his family's legacy of inventing the "Pronto Pup" was pretty cool. First time I had one, after arriving in Memphis in the early 70's, I loved them. Couldn't wait to have another each time I saw a stand somewhere. Forerunners to the Food Truck Concept. I think that creative and entrepreneurial spirit is what I liked about him most
Each time I saw him at a function, I always sought him out to have a conversation and thoroughly enjoyed his company. A great person and talented architect. He will be missed by the community.
Rest well friend.
