Barnie Patterson's Obituary
Barnie Patterson, age 100, passed away on Feb 21, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Clay, granddaughter, Nina Luttrell and great grandson, Zander Blanco all of Memphis. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Katherine Patterson, his father, Monte C Patterson, his mother, Mary Saunders Patterson and three brothers, Patrick A. Patterson, Foy Patterson, Vaudie Patterson and two sisters Collis Robinson and Alta Murry.Barnie loved people and owned several businesses during his lifetime. He owned The Salad Bowl on Poplar, The Cottage Inn in Univ of Memphis area, Germantown Drive-In in Germantown. His passion was The Kennedy View Restaurant on Park Ave which he owned and managed for 35 years and The Trading Post on Lamar for over 30 years. He semi retired from the restaurant at age 67 and then fully retired from The Trading Post at age 84.He served in the U S Army and was a World War II Veteran. He was also lifetime member of The Shiners International. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wed, Feb 26 and the burial at 2:30 pm on Thurs, Feb 27, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to (Veterans) Wounded Warrior Project, St Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for children or The (MS) Multiple Sclerosis Society.Location: Sunnyslope Arrow Color: White
