Barbara Y. Williams' Obituary
Barbara Y. Williams, 81, went home to be with the Lord, February 15, 2010. She lived a full life as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She always considered herself blessed when with family and friends. She was born February 20, 1928, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Evans Williams, Jr. to whom she was married for 57 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Homan and Marie Gaunt. She worked as an internal auditor at Sears Roebuck, Crosstown, for 21 years. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Williams Land, son-in-law, Philip Land; son, Thomas Evans Williams III, daughter-in-law, Jan R. Williams; and granddaughters, Shelley Williams Hale (Rik), and Stacey Williams White (Jason). She is also survived by her sister, Mary Beth Flanery of Cotton Plant, AR. Her joy and entertainment in later years were her great-grandchildren, William Tucker White and Collier Jane White. The visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 18, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. There will also be a Memorial service held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kirby Pines Chapel.
