Barbara H. Norton's Obituary
Barbara H. Norton, 92, of Cordova, passed away on May 11, 2023. Barbara was the retired Executive Secretary to Katherine Hinds Smythe from Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. After retirement, her love of line dancing took her to the McWherter Senior Center several times a week, as well as, to join friends elsewhere across the city, that offered the opportunity. She was preceded in death by her husband P.M. Norton, daughter, Christine Rowe, stepson Terry Norton, and sister, Hermine "Min" Williams. Barb is survived by one daughter, Diane Wells, (John), Lynne Catron (Doyle), several nieces and nephews, her Leawood East Baptist Church family, and her beloved feline companion Shadow. Her visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m., until the service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
