Barbara Hoelscher's Obituary
Barbara Sue Stotts Hoelscher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Barbara was born on December 16, 1940, to Omer H. Stotts and Clara Stotts Heathcock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack W. Hoelscher, her children, Anne Hoelscher Meggs, Robert Julian Hoelscher II, and Holli Hoelscher Simon, her parents, Omer H. Stotts and Clara Stotts Heathcock, and her sister, Wanda Stotts Stephens.
Barbara is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Stotts (Mickey) & Bobby Stotts (Bonnie), her son-in-law Jonathan Simon, her grandchildren, Sarah Simon, Ann Everett Simon, Timothy Meggs (Marleigh), Michael Meggs, and Andrew Meggs; as well as her great-grandchildren, Liam Meggs and Laileigh Meggs.
She was a lifelong member of Bellevue Baptist Church and served everyone she met. Barbara lived a full and meaningful life, touching the hearts of all who knew her with her kindness, humor, and enduring spirit. She will be remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A private family graveside will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:00am at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Breast Cancer Foundation, Church Health Center, or to a charity of your choice.
