Barbara Esoldi's Obituary
Barbara Martello Esoldi, 65, passed away peacefully November 24, 2014. Barbara was retired from the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce after 25 years as Vice-President of Finance. She was a member of the American Society of Women Accountants, and was formally on the board of directors of Girls, Inc., and very active with the Girl Scouts of America. She was beloved by all who know her and will be truly missed. Barbara was a graduate of St. Anne on Highland Class of 1963, Sacred Heart High School Class of 1967, and Memphis State University Class of 1971. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, John A. Esoldi. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph A. and Rosina C. Martello of Memphis. Barbara is also survived by her sisters, Toni Martello of Memphis, Susan Hackney (Joe) of Eads, Pamela Bryant (Rick) of Memphis, Carolyn Hooker (Henry) of Memphis and brothers Michael J. Martello (Pam) of Germantown, Joseph A. Martello, Jr. (Paula) of Memphis and David C. Martello of Memphis and a host of nieces and nephews. Also, uncle Louis Martello (Joyce) of Metairie, LA, aunts Janet Martello of Metairie, LA, Joan Grindlay of England, Joyce Courtneivge of England, Gina Arnold of England, and a host of cousins in England. A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8151 Chimney Rock Blvd, Cordova, TN, at 10:30 , Monday, December 1, 2014. Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Girl Scouts of America, or Girls, Inc.
