Barbara Endicott's Obituary
Barbara Diffee Endicott, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on November 1, 2018 at home. She was born in Memphis on January 19, 1940, and was the only child of Oscar Murray and Flossie Mae Diffee, who both predeceased her. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Endicott Swearingen and son-in-law, Carl N. Swearingen.Mrs. Endicott is survived by her husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Nelson Endicott, and two children, W. Alan Endicott (Gerri) and Sheri Phipps (Jeff). Her grandchildren include Stephen Swearingen, Ryan Swearingen, Carly Swearingen, Tina Endicott, Jessica Endicott Kinslow (Wesley), Zachary Stewart, Jake Phipps, and great-grandson, Linus Kinslow.Barbara graduated from Memphis Central High School and attended Memphis State University. She worked for her father at Index Employment Company, and then helped Bill grow Endicott Jewelers, later working for the Crescent Club and the University Club. She attended Riveroaks Reform Presbyterian Church.Visitation is Friday, November 9th from 5:00-7:00 PM and the funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 10th, both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service. Thereafter, a reception will be hosted at Riveroaks Reform Presbyterian Church, 1665 S. Germantown Rd., Germantown, TN 38138.
