Barbara Dunn's Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Barbara Jane Gulyas Dunn, 86, who left this world peacefully on July 29, 2025 surrounded by love and family. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 15,1938.
To honor our mother, services will be held on Saturday, August 9th, at Ridgeway Baptist Church located at 2500 Ridgeway Street Memphis, Tennessee. The service ceremony will begin at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. We invite all who knew and loved her to come and share memories and honor the beautiful soul she was.
As a mother, she was a steady, nurturing force offering unconditional love, guidance and grace through every season of life. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world, and she never let a day pass without making sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Barbara (Bebe) was known to all as one of the kindest, loving, caring, and giving people this earth has. It's no secret that family was what made her the happiest. She treasured her friends as well, many like family, and many of whom she had known for years.
Barbara was a devoted Nurse and caregiver. While raising four children, she put herself through Nursing school and never looked back. She was both immensely full of sweetness, but she was fiercely strong and independent. Even during difficult times, she never allowed herself to be interfered with what lay in front of her. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord Jesus and strived to put Him first above everything else. She is going to be missed beyond measure by those of us both near and far. That is, until we meet again.
Ms. Dunn is preceded by Elias Guylas, father; Rose Balough Guylas, mother: Dwight Warren Guylas, brother; Jay Steven Guylas, brother; Paul Douglass Dunn, son. She leaves behind a daughter, and two sons, Leslie Dunn Harjung; David Dunn and Steve Dunn; She also has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Lauren Dunn, Jacob Dunn, (Jennifer); Konnor Harjung (Evelin), Katarina Harjung Rother, (Zenas); and Riley S. Davidson.
Thank you for keeping all of us in your thoughts and prayers.
