Ava Seacat's Obituary
Ava Louise Seacat, 91, of Memphis, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Mrs. Seacat was a longtime member of Galloway United Methodist Church where she was a teacher and held leadership positions. She was currently a member and an adult sunday school teacher at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Seacat was the Grand Worthy Advisor of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was employed by DuPont before retiring from Beasley, Jones, and Ragland Clothing Store. Mrs. Seacat was preceded in death by her husband James H. Seacat, Sr., and is survived by her daughter, Linda Seacat Parker, son, James H. Seacat, Jr., granddaughter, Britt Martin, two great grandchildren, Tyler Hurt and Brayden Martin, and two nieces Dottie Summerville of Atlanta, GA, and Ava Sigsby of Hanover, MA. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
