Audrey Richards' Obituary
Audrey Richards was born on January 16, 1927 to the late Ross Davis and Gustavia Davis in New Orleans, Louisiana. Audrey was reared in a loved and Christian unity in New Orleans, La, by her parents. Audrey Davis was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Russell Richards and they were blessed with 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. Audrey Richards labored in love as a nursing assistant III at Oschner and Charity Hospitals for most of her adult life and retired in security from Tulane Medical Hospital in New Orleans, LA. During Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Audrey Richards and her late husband Russell Richards relocated to the city of Memphis, TN where she lived with her daughter Gwendolyn Chambliss and son-in-law, Bishop Tyrone Chambliss, Sr. She later became a member of Powerhouse Holiness Deliverance Temple of West Memphis, AR where she served on the motherboard. Audrey Richards was called home to Glory on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Signature of St. Francis Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents (Ross and Gustavia Davis), siblings and two sons (Joseph and Thomas Richards). She leaves to cherish and honor her legacy, three children Russell Richards, Jr. (Paulette Richards) of San Antonio, TX; Anthony Richards of San Antonio, TX; and Gwendolyn Chambliss (Bishop Tyrone Chambliss) of Memphis, TN, her eldest sister Mazie Dennis of New Orleans, LA and a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends.
