Audrey Carter Breeding's Obituary
Audrey Carter Breeding, 71, of Germantown, TN passed away on Thursday, March 8th, 2018. She was born in Memphis and attended her beloved Central High School and Memphis State University. She was a lifelong member of Bellevue Baptist Church and was active in the Women’s Exchange. She was an accomplished florist for many years. Later she worked for Memphis’ own Goldsmith’s in their bridal salon. She then moved to the bridal registry for china and silver at Macy’s until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey W. Carter, M.D. and Helen Collins Carter. Ms. Breeding is survived by her children, Darrell Breeding and Virginia Lazenby (George) all of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren, George Lazenby, V. and Helen Riley Lazenby, and a brother, Harvey W. Carter, Jr. Ms. Breeding was known as “Puddin” to her friends. She was devoted to her two children and put them through college as a single mother. Her greatest joys in life were her friends and family. We all will miss her and know we will see her again. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11th from 4-6pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The funeral will be held on Monday, March 12th at 1pm also at the funeral home. Donations can be made to Bellevue Baptist Church or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
