Audra Wain Fortune's Obituary
Audra Wain Fortune, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2013, at Baptist Hospice House. He was born in Memphis, TN on February 25, 1930. Wain is survived by his wife, Norman Jean Fortune; his son, Phillip Wain Fortune (Deb); his sister, Frances Mathewson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Aubra Lain Fortune. While in the Air Force, he was a radio operator in Germany during Korean War. After retirement from Hunter Fan, Wain played golf as often as possible and had three “hole-in-one’s” during his illustrious golfing career. Wain was a volunteer peewee baseball and basketball coach for about ten years and loved it; the kids fondly called him “Coach”. Wain volunteered at the St. Jude Golf Classic Tournament for over 20 years and the last five years he worked #10 tee. He leaves behind many friends and family that loved him dearly. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00, Tuesday February 5 and funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 6 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
