Ashley Teanna Dennis' Obituary
Ashley Teanna Dennis was granted her angel wings on January 2, 2015. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Ashley had touched in some way throughout her life. Ashley’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her. When she lost ability to speak, her voice and thoughts could always be heard. Ashley possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She could spend hours in her chair enjoying the quality time spent with her sisters and parents watching movies and listening to music. She was a master at avoiding the chaos created by her sisters and lessons given by her teacher by simply closing her eyes. With Ashley’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. We will miss her every day. She will forever remain in our hearts. It has been a privilege to be her parents. Ashley is survived by her loving parents, Antonio and Monica Dennis; sisters Jessica Coley, Carmen Dennis, Anica Dennis, and Khalela Dennis; maternal grandmother Rose Scott; paternal grandmother Lurline Dennis; maternal aunt Notimba Brooks (Michael) and cousin Makailah Brooks; maternal uncle Elliott Clark, Jr.; paternal uncles Jerome Clayton (Angela), Maurice Clayton (Regina), Mark Clayton, Cleveland Dennis, Jr., Christopher Dennis, Dewayne Dennis; and paternal aunts Jacqueline Clayton, Kashunder Dennis, Tanya Dennis, Sherry Clayton; and host of cousins and extended family. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Ashley with love and care in her life.
