Asbury L. Jones' Obituary
Asbury Lewis Jones, Jr., 86, passed away March 9, 2013. He was born April 20, 1926 on Staten Island, NY to Asbury Lewis and Janet Crooks Jones, Sr. He was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Memphis. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Roche Biomedical Laboratories. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Luretta Renshaw Jones; daughter, Patricia Jones Stone (Fred); son, Asbury L. Jones, III; sister, Natalie Jones Cooke (Hilburn); two granddaughters, Katherine Stone Agliano (Brian) and Amanda Stone Davidson (Cody); and two grandchildren, Isabella Agliano and Lex Davidson. Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to the King’s Daughters.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall”.Location: Section J Arrow Color: White
