Laurie Rousseau
Art Flint at camp Kai-Kima would take the same little boy into his tent at night and spank him. Frank Rousseau-first class scout--age 12-- around 1957 yelled at him to "stop hitting him Art." Art stopped hitting the boy. This was at the main camp the day before the group changed to base camp and had a different leader. Soon after, Frank was up for Order of the Arrow. There was a unanimous vote in favor of Frank for Order of the Arrow except for Art. Frank asked a leader about it the next day and was told that it was Art who blocked him from an achievement in scouts he had worked years for. The leader gave Frank a pack of cigarettes and took him fishing as a consolation. Frank never returned to scouts after camp and never forgot Art Flint. Frank has carried this memory of Art for 68 years.
