Arnold Shappley, Jr.'s Obituary
Arnold Shappley, Jr., 83, passed away on August 15, 2010. Visitation will be 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 18 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arnold was the owner of Mahan & Shappley Architects and was the designer of many prominent buildings in Shelby County. He served as an elder for Berclair Church of Christ for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; sons, Kenneth L. (Linda Kim), and William Arnold (Lisa J.); and daughter, Kathryn Bryson (Charles); grandchildren, Jessica Elizabeth Shappley and Benjamin Charles Bryson; and sister, June Griste.
