Arie Jacobs Cooper's Obituary
Arie Jacobs Cooper, 80, passed away August 10, 2017. She was born July 23, 1937 in Meadville, MS to Pernie Wilkinson and David Decater Jacobs. She was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church. She was very active in the Twentieth Century Garden Club, on the board of the Mary Galloway Home, a member of the Josephine Circle, and a member of the Sassy Investment Club. She was always ready with a smile and a hug and willing to do anything for her friends and her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her son, Drew Cooper and brother, Harold Jacobs. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charlie Cooper; children, Dawn Scott (Hugh), Diane Cooper (Tim Nissen), and Vicki Coker (Rob); brother, Noel Jacobs (Ruth); and grandchildren, Will, Charlie, and Daniel Scott, Callum Nissen, Drew (Emily), Mollie, Anna, Brooks, and Josie Coker. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, August 13 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, August 14 at Independent Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be sent to Madonna Learning Center, Independent Presbyterian Church, or Neighborhood Christian Center.
