Anthony "Bob" McGregor's Obituary
Anthony “Bob” Myron McGregor, 73, passed away suddenly on May 13, 2015. He was born in Louisiana on August 1, 1941. He grew up in Jackson, MS. He received his undergraduate degree from Millsaps College and his master’s degree from Mississippi College. He did further graduate studies at the University of Mississippi. While working fulltime, he taught classes at the University of Memphis. He worked in real estate development with John Hyneman and Company and later began McGregor Companies. He is survived by his wife, Barbara McGregor; children, Michelle Shaul (Ray), Andy McGregor (Julie), Ashley Ross (Steve), and Zach McGregor; and grandchildren, Matthew Shaul, Emily Lindsey (Mitchell), Joshua Shaul, A. J. McGregor, Madison McGregor, Anthony McGregor, Dalton Gilliam, Kelsey Langham, Morgan Ross, Nick Ross, Zach Gilliam, and Kelsey Gilliam. He is also survived by his sisters, Cassie Eldridge (Paul) and Melesia Henry (Doran). He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Theron and Ripple McGregor and his three brothers, Johnny McGregor, Billy McGregor, and T. M. McGregor. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests donations be sent to Mid-South Food Bank. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
