Annie Stovall Ruff's Obituary
Annie Stovall Ruff, age 82, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away surrounded by her family and friends on January 25, 2026. Born August 10, 1943, Annie was the 2nd child of Baird and Frances Stovall of Oxford, North Carolina. Annie grew up in Oxford with a big and close extended family. Her best childhood memories were filled with time spent with her cousins. She met a boy named Harper Ruff in 7th grade and it was love at first sight. They dated from Junior High through their High School years and were married June 29, 1963. They had Scotti and Stephanie, moved to Memphis in August of 1973 and started a business together, Carpet Contractors Inc. After Harper’s death in 1992 she continued to run the company for six years when she decided to sell it and retire. She gladly returned to work with a new owner in 2004 until her final retirement in April of 2024. Since then, she has enjoyed time with her family and involvement with her church family at Harvest Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harper Ruff, her brother Charles Stovall and sister-in-law Mary Ruff Watkins. She is survived by her daughters, Scotti Campora (Andy) of Memphis, Tennessee and Stephanie Owen (Tom), of Williston, Tennessee; her grandchildren Duncan Owen and Ashton Owen; sister- in-law, Susie Stovall and sister-in-law Shelia Ruff Arrington. Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 1st, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue Memphis, Tennessee 38119.
