Anne Hambrick's Obituary
Anne R. Hambrick, age 85, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Born in West, MS, on November 19, 1934, she was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie Mae and Felix Rainey. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Q. Hambrick, two sons, Paul (Theresa) Hambrick and Jim (Terri) Hambrick, four grandchildren, Hilary (Eric) Taft, Hunter (Cara) Hambrick, Michael (Leslie) Hambrick, Lindsey (Matthew) Wilson, two great grandchildren Jimbo and Charlie Hambrick, and sister-in-law, Shirley (Billy) Jefcoat.Anne graduated high school from Weir High School in Weir, MS, and she received an associate’s degree from Holmes Junior College. She moved to Memphis with John after the birth of Paul and began a long career of teaching music and piano. A past president of the Memphis Jaycettes, she was involved civically throughout the city. In the 1970’s she began her more than twenty-five-year career as a real estate agent and earned a place in the “Million Dollar Sales Club.” She was a member of Central Church and active in their Senior Adult Ministry. Throughout her adult life, she consistently worked in the family business, Hambrick Building––a residential home building company in Memphis for over fifty years.The immediate family will receive extended family members, friends and visitors on Saturday, December 14, 2019 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery (5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119).Memorials may be sent to Senior Adult Ministry at Central Church (2005 E Winchester Collierville TN 38017).
