Anne Brown's Obituary
Anne Hawkins Brown, age 86, formerly of Collierville, TN, departed this life to be with her Lord and awaiting family in Heaven on October 20, 2018.Anne was born to Harry and Inez Hawkins in Richmond, Missouri on August 27, 1932. Anne was the #3 sister in a line of 7 girls. She graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in 1953 and worked as a Registered Nurse at both Methodist Hospital and St. Francis Hospital until retirement in 2008. After retirement, she served as a Parish Nurse in her local church community.Anne found great joy in being a daughter of Jesus, a mother, and a nurse. She loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, anything the color purple and her little dog, Allie.Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Kevin DeMilt, and four sisters, Anita Gardiner, Mary Presley, Billie Massey and Gail Matthews.Anne was preceded in death by her son, Robin Mark Brown, her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Milner and Linda Muse.The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 26 from 10:30 until the time of the graveside service at 11:30AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
