Anna Polly Zepatos' Obituary
Anna “Polly” Polydouris Zepatos, 78, died peacefully Monday, March 9, 2009 at her home in Memphis.Mrs. Zepatos was born in Paducah, KY to Greek immigrant parents George and Angeline Polydouris. Polly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a gracious lady, who always had a smile on her face. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Paducah, KY and was the Art Director of the High School Annual and Associate Editor of the School Newspaper. She attended Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio, and graduated from Southwestern College now Rhodes College, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, the YMCA, and the Spanish Club. Polly was an accomplished Artist. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the Ladies Auxiliary, Community Bible Study, Kings Daughters.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Harry S. Zepatos. Mrs. Zepatos is survived by her daughter, Valerie Gosney (Mark) and her son, Harry Zepatos (Karan) and five beautiful grandchildren she adored: Katherine Gosney, Rebekah Gosney, Mark Stephen Gosney, Michael Zepatos and Jeff Zepatos, her sister; Sophie Xides of Montgomery, AL. We all loved her and will miss her deeply.Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12th at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, located 573 N. Highland in Memphis, TN. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or Kings Daughters.
