Ann Daigh Lansden's Obituary
Ann Daigh Lansden, 90, of Blacksburg died Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born in Springfield, IL on November 2, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Dr. Charles Lansden who passed away in 2001. She attended Millikin College and Memphis State where she received her B.A. in Music and M.S. in Education respectively. She served for 34 years as a school administrator for Memphis City Schools. Ann was a member / past president of the Women’s Exchange, Josephine Circle and Town and Country Garden Club. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Daigh of Urbana, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Lansden and Tammy Lansden, Bill Lansden and Blair Lansden; and grandchildren, Sarah Lansden and James Lansden of Charlotte, NC, and Madeline and Delaney Lansden of Blacksburg, VA. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m. and a service celebrating her life will follow at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 27 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church Health Center, 1350 Concourse Avenue #142, Memphis, TN 38104.
