Ann Freeman Bailey's Obituary
Ann Freeman Bailey, of Germantown, TN, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2015. After a lengthy illness, Ann peacefully passed away with her family by her side. Ann and her husband, John Bailey, Sr., had a wonderful marriage for 56 years. Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Mr. Thomas W. Freeman, Jr. A memorial service to honor Ann will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 4488 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN on Saturday, August 8 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Ann worked as a supervisor for the Federal Bankruptcy Court, Memphis, TN until her retirement. Ann will be remembered as a wonderful cook, elegant, modest, soft spoken, with unparalleled devotion and loyalty to all her family and friends. Ann left behind a truly blessed family: children, Marcia Hampton (Phillip), John M. Bailey Jr., and Ms. Laura Osborn; seven lovely and successful grandchildren, Mimi Hampton Marler (Chad), Mrs. Bailey’s namesake Evelyn Ann Hampton, identical twins James Bailey Osborn and Joseph Cassidy Osborn, John M. Bailey III, Emilie (Judd), and Andrew Bailey; and three great-grandchildren, Macon Lee Marler, Caroline, and Calie. Ann is survived by her identical twin sister, Mrs. Jann Freeman Argo; nieces, Nellah (Kevin), Elizabeth (Matthew), Emily (Joe), Andrea, Deborah (Brian), and Lisa (Rocky); and nephew, Andrew M. Bailey III. Ann also leaves so many sincere friends who were a blessing to her as she was to them.
