Angelo Joseph Ciaramitaro's Obituary
Angelo Joseph Ciaramitaro,85, resident of Ave Maria Assisted Living, Bartlett, TN, passed away January 24, 2017. Angelo was born in Memphis, TN on May 15, 1931 to Joseph and Julia Ciaramitaro. He attended Blessed Sacrament, CBHS and CBU. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Angelo worked for Fisher Steel for 30 years and Consolidated Steel for 10 before his retirement. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 35 years and for the past 15 years with St Francis of Assisi. Angelo enjoyed spending his summer weekends at Pickwick lake or playing Poker or Rook with family and cooking homemade Italian ravioli and sausage. He was preceded in death by his son Joe Ciaramitaro. Angelo leaves his loving wife , Margaret Ciaramitaro; daughter Julie Gattas (Tommy); daughter-in-law, Janet Ciaramitaro and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27 from 5-7 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 28 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CBHS, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of donor’s choice.
