Andrew George Durr's Obituary
Andrew George Durr, 62 of Memphis, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2021.
Andy was born on September 4, 1959 in Gainesville, Georgia to Lawrence Ervin Durr and Patricia Anne Fiveash Durr. He was employed with Gossett Motorcars as the Brand Ambassador and Service Manager for Porsche, celebrating 20 years there in August. The love he had for his family was undeniable and apparent to everyone who knew him. He always put his family first. He got joy out of spoiling his grandchildren every chance he could get. He loved them all in the most special way and shared unique bonds with each of them specifically. He took great pride in his cooking, and was known for having the best BBQ in town. He had the biggest and most generous heart, taking every opportunity he had to help anyone who needed it, always living up to his nickname as “Handy Andy”.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ronda Palmer Durr, son, Andrew Palmer Durr, daughters, Julie Durr (Jordan) VerHulst, Emily Paige (Alan) Blount, grandchildren, Parker, Kynlee, Caroline, Hazel and Caleb, father, Larry Durr, brother, John (Patti) Durr, sisters, Lynn (Steve) Adams, Julianne (Bob) Greer, along with nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Anne Fiveash Durr.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 5:00 p.m., all taking place at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5300 Park Ave, Memphis, Tennessee, 38119.
In lieu of flowers, Andy and his family would appreciate donations to the Turner Syndrome Foundation. His granddaughter, Caroline, was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome at birth.
