Amy Denise Coleman's Obituary
Amy Denise Coleman, age 58, went to heaven at 12:45AM on January 22, 2022 in Nashville, TN. She graduated from Woodlawn Baptist Academy in Memphis in 1980. She started her career working for Schering-Plough in Memphis before moving to Nashville, where she worked for Symbion and later Surgery Partners. Amy had such a positive attitude on life. Her infectious laugh would fill the room and her smile would welcome everyone. Her true commitment to helping others made her such a special friend to many.
In Memphis, Amy was active member of Bellevue Baptist Church. One of Amy's many talents, included singing. She had an incredible voice and sang not only in the choir, but also sang at many friends' weddings and events. Amy participated in the "Singing Christmas Tree" at Bellevue for many years and she had such fond memories of these great times. While living in Nashville, Amy was a member of The Church at Harpeth Heights where she was an active member of "The Prayer Warriors" life group and the choir. Her fellow church members were such a great support to her throughout her journey.
She leaves her parents, Don and Bettye Coleman, and her brother, Neal Coleman, all of Memphis. Memphis services will be held at Memorial Park with visitation on February 1, 2022 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, followed by a gravside serivce. In Nashville, a Memorial Serivce will be held at The Church of Harpeth Heights at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be made in her name to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Church of Harpeth Heights in Nashville, TN or charity of choice.
