Alma S. Pinkley's Obituary
Alma Sue Pinkley, 81, of Memphis, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Sue and her husband Neil owned the Pit BBQ restaurant in Vermilion, Ohio. She is a current member of Bellevue Baptist Church and was a former member of Egypt Baptist Church in Memphis and Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion. She was a faithful nursery worker for more than 50 years, helping start the nursery in Egypt Baptist Church and Mothers Day out Program at Lakeview Baptist Church and was a nursery volunteer for Bellevue. Sue was also a member of the Living Word Sunday school class. She is preceded in death by a brother Ernest Ricks. Sue leaves her husband of 62 years Neil, three children; Pam Pinkley Stone (Harvey), Pat Pinkley Goodman (Mike), and Steve Pinkley (Dana), twenty six grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a brother William L. Ricks (Frances). The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm, on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, April 22, 2011, at Pollard Chapel in Bellevue Baptist Church. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Bellevue Baptist Church, Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion, OH, or Egypt Baptist Church Memphis, TN. She will be forever remembered and missed by the numerous lives she touched and the giving spirit she displayed.
