Allan Philputt Davis Jr.'s Obituary
Allan Philputt Davis, Jr., 89, of Memphis, TN, died peacefully as a resident of Ave Marie Home on November 5, 2023. He was born in Memphis, TN in 1934 and lived there most of his life except for his secondary education years at New Mexico Military Institute and his U. S. Army enlistment years following college. He graduated from Memphis State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was a proud member of the Tiger Golf Team. He later worked for Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell, formerly Snowden, Davis, Brown & Donelson, his father’s law firm. Allan attended Second Presbyterian Church, and was a longtime participant in AMEN Bible Study.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents Allan Philputt Davis and Isabella Minetta Bohn Davis.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:00pm with a visitation from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Second Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
