Alice Morrow's Obituary
Alice Morrow age 80 of Lakeland, Tennessee, passed away on November 9, 2022. She was born February 3, 1942 in Holcomb, Missouri.
I have known Alice since I was about 10 years old, which is a very long time She and my brother dated many years when they both went to Messick High School. They both graduated in 1960 and married in June of 1965 at Park Ave Baptist. You see I know a lot about Alice and somethings about my brother! You see David is my brother and Alice is and always will be my sweet "Sister-in-love". I loved her like a sister.
She leaves behind to mourn her devoted Husband of 57 years, David and their son, Steven Lee Morrow. She had one grandson, Aiden Lee Morrow, age 10 whom she adored. She has 2 sisters Shirley Lemm (Ed), Beverly Welch (John), her sister in law, Judy Morrow Wright (Ronnie). She was a devout Christian. She also leaves her two best friends, Sandra Cochran and Ginger Blount. She and Sandra were joined at the hip since they were 11 years old. My bother and Alice took many trips over the years with Sandra and her husband, Gene. Although it's not documented, Alice and Sandra spent MANY hours on the phone with each other, giggling and gossiping, late at night! I have a feeling Sandra and I will be picking up where they left off...you see I like to talk, laugh, and gossip too! I am not positive how long she and Ginger have been friends, but pretty sure it qualifies for long time friendship. She also loved animals. They have 3 cats and a dog.
Her favorite day of the week was Friyay, .that means Friday because she, her sisters, Ginger and others over the years would meet for a movie, lunch and I believe Margaritas. Alice was a discriminating popcorn connoisseur. They usually didn't go for the movie but whoever served the best popcorn. I believe lunch was phased out too, so you guessed it......the Margaritas became one of their friends. I can't leave out the MEMPHIS TIGERS Basketball games. Alice, David, Gene and Sandra went to almost every home game and the girls actually watched the game because they knew the players names. It wasn't until after Calipari left that they learned the game though......Alice Marie Hale Morrow I loved you and will miss you every day for the rest of my life. Please keep my brother and all of her family in your prayers.
The Morrow Family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at 1:00pm in Memorial Park Cemetery.
