Alice Cannon's Obituary
Alice Janice Cannon,92, passed away November 7 at Senatobia Convalescent Center. Alice was born in Lambert, Mississippi to the late Robert E. and Verna Claire Sellars on November 14, 1923. Alice was hired by internal medicine doctor John Young in his private practice in the early 60’s and continued as his assistant at Sanders Clinic until his death in 1986. She retired from Sanders Clinic in 1989. Alice was proceeded in death by her husband, Bobbie L. Cannon; daughter, Barbara Joyce Sweet; sister, Gladys Hancock and brother, John Edward Sellars. She is survived by her son, Raybourn A. Cannon (Edna); daughter, Patricia C. Gross (Terry); grandchildren Christina Cannon, Brian Cannon, Jennifer Rains(Kevin), Caren Sweet, Nicholas Gross and Matthew Gross; great-grandchildren Halle, Paige,Trinity and Adelaide. She is also survived by sister, Martha France and her husband, Charlie; special cousin, Mary Ann Simon and many nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Senatobia Convalescent Center for their care and compassion show during Alice’s stay at their facility. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:30, Friday, November 11 at Memorial Park on Poplar Ave. A graveside service will follow immediately. All services will be held at Memorial Park.
