Alfred A. Bailey's Obituary
Alfred Bailey, 85, retiree of Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, died October 15, 2009. He served in WWII participating in the Invasion at Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of Dachau. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ann of 59 years, daughters Connie Anderson of Germantown and Sandi Eitel of New Orleans, 4 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Bailey of West Memphis. He also leaves behind sister, Dorothy Bardwell; brothers James, Kenneth Stone and Cecil Bailey. A private graveside will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to their charity of choice.
